Joe Cuddeford is Deputy Director for Sectors and Market Policy at the Geospatial Commission, an expert committee within the Cabinet Office. Joe leads thinking on how advanced geospatial technologies can revolutionise how we live, work and travel. Taking a sector-based approach, his portfolio targets high-value opportunities in transport, housing, land use, environment and energy.
Joe has a background in social research, policy analysis and data strategy. He has spent much of his career working across government to unlock the value of data to inform policy. He led the development of the strategy for UK official statistics and the UK geospatial strategy. He was previously Head of Strategy to the UK National Statistician and advisor to the Chair of the UK Statistics Authority.
